We finally found it...

We really want Lacy to be a monkey for halloween this year because that is what she reminds us of, always jumping around. I have been searching all over town for a monkey costume to fit her and could never find one. I went online and it seemed like all the ones I found were too big or out of stock. Today I did one more search and found the cutest one I have seen so far and they had it in stock in her size!! She is going to look so cute!

The verdict is in...

Go Texas! It is a great day in the Self residence because the Longhorns beat the Sooners today! OU was ranked number 1 but not anymore!!! We still gotta get Lacy an I Love Colt McCoy t-shirt! Lacy is Daddy's little good luck charm because she was born in the same hospital as Colt in Hobbs! Jason just informed me that wherever the next QB was born is where we are gonna have to go to have our next baby to keep the good luck coming!

shaving with Daddy!

So Lacy is still young enough to shower with us and it is a much easier way to get her clean sometimes. A lot of the time I will just put her in the shower with Jason so I don't have to bath her. The other day before their shower, Jason needed to shave. I was standing there holding Lacy waiting so they could get in the shower when he was done and Jason thought it would be cute if Lacy looked like she was going to shave too so he put some shaving cream on her face and I just had to get a picture. Well, as soon as I handed her over to get the camera, she freaked out! Daddy looked scary and she didn't recognize him! The look on Jason's face is "She is scared, do you seriously hve to take a picture right now?!" Still, What a fun memory to have!

Crawling...Almost :)

Lacy is so close to crawling its not even funny. She already rolls all over the place and gets up on all fours and rocks. Then she drops and does what we like to call "swimming". At least thats what it looks like. Today I layed her on the living room floor and went to do something in the other room and when I came back, she was in a completely different spot, did she crawl? Who knows but I ran to get the camera to see if I could capture it and this is what I got!

~The first time they met~



My Aunt Garalene had a baby exactly 4 weeks after I did. We love to get little Lacy and Carson Alec together. They are so fun. We have been asked twice now if they are twins! Hello, they look nothing alike but its still fun to hear.

Carson is younger and bigger but we can already tell that Lacy is the one in charge. Isb't that how it goes when you are older? I am so glad that Lacy has Carsen to grow up with along with so many other cousins!

Teething STINKS!!

My poor little one is teething like mad! It is so horrible to watch her suffer. She hasn't been sleeping through the night, STILL and I am ready to lose my mind. I am thinking the teething has something to do with the sleeplessness but who knows. She already has two teeth and the entire bottom gums are swollen and white like the rest are about to peak through any second!
