After the nationwide vote....

Adam...you SUCK! Kris Allen won!!! I am so excited!

What We've Been Doing Lately...

*Getting matching Mohawks??!! NOT OKAY! Never let your husband go and get his hair cut alone this is what mine came back with!!

*Having play dates with my little cousins Carson and Justin. We are so lucky to have them both right here in pasco with us! DaleAnne and Garalene and I love the adult conversation we get to have while the kids play/fight over toys! No biting has occurred yet (knock on wood!)

*Playing in the water. Lacy LOVE LOVE LOVES water and can't get enough! She has been keeping her ear putty in which is really good because absolutely NO water can get in those ears!

*Playing in the dirt with Aunt Karen. My child loves the dirt thanks to gardening with Aunt Karen :). She will dig and dig and get it EVERYWHERE! We have to watch for any sign of dirt/sand when we play outside because she will head straight for it and start digging!

*Reading Lacy's favorite book over and over and over and over again!!! She loves this book and I am pretty sure it is because I sing the part that says, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be." She absolutely loves it. She brings it to anyone and expects them to read/sing it as well...over and over again! She rocks back and forth when it says, "back and forth, back and forth..." and will sing the song. All we understand is "baby" in the middle of a bunch of gibberish.

*SLEEPING!! Lacy has been sleeping 11-12 hours a night and taking about 2 hour naps which has been awesome. The last two days...Mommy has snuck in a little nap too!

WE LOVE SUMMERTIME!!!!!!

Last week Jason and I went to Seattle for my annual check-up for my VHL-Disease and unfortunately, I have another (fourth one!) pheochromocytoma on the adrenal gland I have left. It is a tumor about the size of a golf ball sitting right on top of my kidney. The doctor thinks he will probably have to open me up instead of doing it laproscopically. Obviously we want the latter because the recovery time would be much better but what we want more is for him to save the remaining adrenal gland so we will see. I will have surgery probably in about 6 weeks and am freaking out about leaving my baby overnight for SEVERAL nights!! I know we will get through it but it will be tough.
My sister and Clark visited this last weekend and it was really fun. They stayed with us and Lacy really loved all the attention. She loved Clark more then Savannah-lol. They are getting married in August and I can't wait to see it!
I got my grades: A, A, A, and A-. Not so bad! I am ready to get student teaching over and have my B.A.- it has been a long time coming!

Happy Mother's Day!

It is my second Mother's day already! Jason got me some really nice bar stools that I have been dying to get and some cute cards. I also got an awesome breakfast- eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuits and gravy! Then at church all the Mom's got brownies and ice cream during relief society from the young men! All in all, a good day!

1st attempt at a craft this summer...

So I painted these letters for Lacy's room before she was born and I always thought they were kind of boring so I decided to try to something with them. I got the idea to put pictures of her first year all over them- kind of cheesy put it worked! I also mode podged for the first time to make them shiny- that part turned out pretty good!

IT IS FINALLY SUMMER!!!!

Recent Pics of Lacy...

So school is finally done and I am offcially done taking classes. Just student teaching and then graduation in december!! I am so ready! Until then, I get to have a fun summer at home with my Loo loo.
Speaking of Lacy-she is getting bigger and smarter everyday. She loves to play in the DIRT and being outside. She loves to try to repeat what we say and so far my favorite is "Mama mama mama." She has officially switched to one nap a day and is doing really good with it. She just got tubes put in her ears on friday and the only problem she had was coming out of the surgery. She was very ANGRY and screamed for a good 45 minutes. After that, it was like nothing ever happened. The doctor said he drained a lot of fluid and even had to scrap some "crusty" stuff off of the ear drum from past ear infections. Hopefully we will see a HUGE improvement in the area of ear infections. She has had 6 or 7 now. He also said her hearing should show improvement too. The only thing I have to worry about now is keeping water out of her ears- ear putty for EVERY bath- kinda sucks with summer time and swimming coming up but it is totally worth it!
