Hook 'Em Horns!!

~Hayden Michael~

~Wesley Hogan~

~All the cousins!~

College football season is a BIG deal around here! The Self's are the biggest Texas Longhorn fans you will ever meet. Today we had the pleasure of hosting a small get together to watch the game. All the kids wore their texas gear and looked so cute!

~The babies!~
Although they are from Arkansas, they are not the biggest razorback fans. Our nephew Wesley came to visit this weekend wearing a razorback shirt and informed Jason that he could "whip his Dad's butt because he put it on him"! lol (Wesley's Dad Phillip, also from Arkansas, is a Razorback fan).

Today when he came to watch the game, he wore a longhorn's t-shirt that Nanna had to cut to fit him (it belonged to one of his uncles). He came in and said, "look Jason! You won't be mad at me today!!"

~Jason making yummy yummy grilled BBQ Chicken.~
Lacy went through three longhorn outfits today and looked so cute. Even our little nephew Hayden got to wear some of Wes's old clothes and looked so adorable. Jason grilled and we had a great time and the highlight of the night for the guys? Texas kicked Rice's butt 52-10!

Help...She won't sleep!!

We have been so lucky because Lacy has been sleeping through the night for about 4 months now. She has never been a very good napper but it hasn't bothered me before because she slept so good at night. Last week she discovered how to roll from her back to her tummy and all of a sudden, she can't get comfy at night! She still sleeps in our room and she just tosses and turns all stinking night- sometimes she will stay up for a few hours! I am going crazy! I know she should be sleeping in her crib in her room and she has been taking her naps in there when we are home but in the last couple of days, she won't sleep in there at all. She rolls to her tummy and then cries and the paicifier falls it and then she won't go back to sleep until I put it back in. Bad habit I started, I know, but with her being in her playpin in our room next to us, it has always been easy just to reach over and put it back in when she woke-up. Even now though, that doesnt work, she is just so restless! I usally give up around 2 or 3am and just put her in bed with us. She use to sleep pretty good when I did that but now, that doesn't work so well because she is so wiggly. That just means absolutley no sleep for Mommy! I have no idea what to do. Help, I am going crazy!!!

Miss Lacy is 6 months old!

I have been so bad about blogging because we still don't have our internet hooked up yet. We had a big milestone come and go and I haven't blogged about it yet. Our precious baby girl is 6 months old!! She is getting funner and funner every single day and man and I can't believe how big she is getting!
Lacy Ann Self...
*6 months old*
*14 pounds 12 ounces*
*Over two feet tall*
*TWO teeth (Already)*
*sits up by herself*
*Loves Daddy and gets soooo excited when he gets home*
*says Mama, Dada, Baba, Gaga and many other random sounds*
*Rolls over both ways*
*Hates NAPS and normally only takes 2-3 30 minute naps a day- just enough sleep to get her to the next nap*
*Still sleeps in Mommy and Daddy's room*
*Still as bald as the day she was born :)*
*Loves getting her picture taken is such a HAM*
*LOVES all the attention she gets from our entire family*
*Hyper, hyper, hyper- she never stops jumping, sometimes even trying to jump around in her sleep*
*Crys if I walk by her and don't pick her up*
*Has been on five airplanes (several more if you count all the times that I flew when she was in my belly)*
*Has had 3 colds and two ear infections*
*Is most definitly a Mama's girl and I wouldn't have it anyother way!!*

So these are the pictures we had taken on her 6 month birthday and yes they the proofs because our computer with the scanner is not currently working so I couldn't scan the actual pics. She was so good even though her nose was runny and she didn't feel so good. I couldn't find a bow that matched the dress so Aunt Karen made one for her and it turned out so cute. The towel in the bathtub pic was made by Aunt Mary and worked out so good!

Trip home to Washington!

Lacy and Aunt Savannah or Aunt "Sebastian" as we like to call her!

Lacy, Grandpa Tim and Aunt McKashyn

Lacy and Poppy

On the road
So we left Hobbs on friday the 22nd of August around 5pm and never looked back. We drove that night to Pueblo, CO where Jason's Dad and stepmom live and got there around 2:30am! Talk about a LONG day!! It took much longer then we ever thought it would but Lacy was so great. She went to bed around 8pm and slept the whole way after that. She woke-up when we got there and played with her Poppy and Mimi for about an hour and then went back to bed. We had a great time at Mike and Connies and did not want to leave. It was such a relaxing weekend and they are so great with Lacy! We left Colorado on Monday morning around 5:30am and headed for Salt Lake City, UT- a 9 hour drive. We decided that if Lacy could not handle it, we would stop half way but she was such a trooper- we made it into SLC by around 5:30pm. We stayed with my sister in Lehi until thursday morning. My little brother had surgery in SLC on wednesday so we were able to be there for that and Lacy got to meet her Aunt McKashyn for the first time. Aunt McKashyn is only 3 1/2 months older then Lacy and they were so cute together.
We left SLC on thursday morning after checking in at the hospital to see Ethan. We were so exhausted and tired we decided to stop in Boise for the night. We took Lacy swimming at the hotel and she loved it! She was laughing and giggling the whole time. Unfortunatley, we did not bring the camera in so we didn't get any pictures. We left Boise around 5am and got in to the TC's at around 9am. It was a long trip but we were so greatful that Lacy did so well, we couldn't ask for a better baby! 30-plus hours in a carseat is a long time!
Sorry for the lack of pics but it takes forever!!

Hasta la vista New Mexico!

It has been forever since I have blogged and I am currently stealing the internet from a neighbor to come on and give a quick update! We have moved home to WA for Jason's work and couldn't be more excited. We are exhausted from the trip but after around 30 hours in the car, we made it. I had the pleasure of driving out of New Mexico and into Colorado at 2am while Jason snoozed in the back and I got to see a hasta la vista New Mexico sign and got all excited! I will have pics up from our adventure soon!
