Thank-You Aunt Sheryl....P.S. We Miss You!!

Thanks to Aunt Sheryl who sent me these AWESOME black and white pictures of herself (the cute little girl on the bike), Jason's Dad Mike (the baby) and their parents! I love them!
Jason's Aunt Sheryl lives in Hobbs where we were living before we moved back home and it was so nice to have family close by while we were there! We miss her and hope she gets to move home soon.

Aunt Sheryl was actually Lacy's first official babysitter before we came home. She came over and watched Lacy while Jason and I went grocery shopping. Of course, I was a nervous wreck but Lacy did great. They read some books and played. I never did get a picture of Lacy with Sheryl before we left but I do have this one of all of us on Lacy's blessing day. We love you Aunt Sheryl!

Sunday Best!

I took these sweet pictures of our cutie before and after church yesterday...she looked so beautiful...

The reason I LOVE being a stay-at-home Mommy!

Lately I have been thinking about how greatful I am to be able to stay home with my baby. I am 100% thankful to have a husband who is able to provide for his family. How many people my age get to stay home with their baby and be financially stable? I may get stressed out and say, "I need a break!" but the truth is, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I get to experience everything with my little one and I love it. I have been having conflicting feelings because I am going to be going back to school in Jan. (the 12th to be exact) and I am dreading it. I absolutley do not want to leave my baby!!! It kills me to think about it. Sometimes I think about not going back but I know I need to. I am four classes, two praciticums and student teaching away from getting my bachelors- how could I not finish? But how can I leave my baby? AGGGHHH...Now more then ever I want the next two and half months to go by so slow!! Now getting to the point of this blog...I got this video of her today..
So I am pretty sure this is crawling but you be the judge!! Some may say its more of a scoot but still, she is such a big girl!! We were talking yesterday about how she is going to pulling everything off the christmas tree this year- hopefully it won't be the christmas tree shes pulling over.

WANTED: Old black & white family pics!

~These are pretty cool- both of my G'pa's with their brothers, around the same age!~

A couple of weeks ago I was over at my Aunts house and found a bunch of old black and white pictures of my grandparents and great grandparents. I thought- "I want copies of these to frame!" So we made some copies. Then I started thinking it would be cool to just have a ton of b&w's of Jason and I's families. I went out to my other grnadmas house and got a bunch of pics from her. I am so excited to have a wall of all these cool pictures. I don't have a lot of pictures from Jason's side of the family. I was thinking if you guys (Jenny, Sheryl, Mike) had any- maybe you could scan them and e-mail them to me- I would love to have more! They are such great keepsakes!

Some of the pictures I already have...

We caught her...

I have said this before but sometimes it is just so hard to catch things on camera. They do something so cute so you pull out the camera and of course, they won't do it anymore. Well, Lacy LOVE LOVE LOVE's to play with her Daddy. Sometimes all he has to do is look at her and she cracks up. Last Sunday he really got her going and although the video is dark, I did manage to capture that little laugh that just makes our hearts melt! (Hope the video works- for some reason they haven't been uploading right tonight)

Crawling? Nope...Not Yet!!

There is still no crawling going on although she manages to get where she wants to go, mostly. She seems to wind up getting herself stuck in places by scooting, rolling and pushing herself backwards. Tonight she managed to end up under the table! Everytime we think she is about to go she either plops down or pushes up with her feet like she is doing push-up's. She looks like she is about to take off on her hands and FEET, not knees. I know that crawling is just days away!

A lot of first's for Miss Lacy Ann

First Biter Biscuit... Lacy has been eating a lot of her books and then choking on the paper so we decided that we should give her actual food to practice on instead of paper. The other day my Mom and I gave her a biter biscuit (we tasted it and it tastes like a molasses cookie...kinda :). She did pretty good and seemed to like it!

First time pulling herself up... The other day I put Lacy in her crib to get her clothes out for the day and when I turned around she was standing up!!! Tell me my baby girl is not big enough to do that! Grandma Sue bought her a nice big toy to play on and she has been pulling herself up on that a lot too...I see a lot of booboo's in the near future!

First pumpkin carving... Ok, well, she didn't exactly carve anything but she watched and tried to tear up the newspaper we had down. Jason and I carved three pumpkins. Mine was a witch, Jason's dracula and Lacy's a cute silly face, with a pacifier and bow of course. I just love tradition and it was so fun to do even though Lacy won't remember it but the pictures will mean a lot!

The Camaro...

Jason and his Dad bought a 1969 chevy camaro together a few years back and it is finally drivable! We went and picked it up this weekend and then took it out to my grandparents after church today. Jason has really been enjoying but wishes that Mike was here to enjoy it too!

A walk in the park...and a picnic!

Jason decided that this week we should go to the park and have a picnic instead of going to the mall and spending money. What a great idea! We took a cooler and had lunch at the park. Then we decided to take a walk and let Lacy enjoy the beautiful outdoors! We went to the little playground and she went on the slide and swings for the first time! We thought she might be scared of the swing but she loved it. While we were there we talked about how greatful we are to be home and living in such a wonderful beautiful place. We had such a great time and didn't have to spend any money to do it. It was a really good day. Thanks to my hubby for being so stinkin' awesome!
